Sneak peak on State of Australia's KBAs 2019 report
Continuing a proud series, the 2019 State of Australia’s KBAs report (SoAKBA) provides an insight into the broad and diverse community support for nature’s hotspots in Australia. A big THANK YOU! to all the KBA Guardians who capture this information in their annual KBA Easter Health-checks; and of course to all the inspiring volunteers and land-holders, hard-working agency staff, Traditional Owners and Indigenous Rangers that look out for the places that sustain the diversity of life on earth.
Major highlights in 2019 were
the inclusion of 49 sites for threatened mammals, frogs and others in the KBA network
An astounding 37,302 hours of volunteering in KBAs
